New Hair + Gyaru Makeup

Hello it's been a while! So yesterday was a day off for me from my nail art classes since the academy was closed, I went for movie and got my hair dyed! :D Nowadays I tend to watch movie alone most of the time; I've slowly got off that self-pity mode and instead try to enjoy being alone. I watched Pacific Rim and I'm impressed with the graphic effects! The storyline however, was a bit of a fusion of Ultraman, Shingeki no Kyojin and Gundam to me, haha!

Anyways, here's my new hair colour! It's ash brown I think?

I had the chance to be the colour model for Jeremy from 76style for his exam. It impresses me that the trainees are working so hard to get a pass from the examiners! It was a refreshing experience to be at the saloon past working hours, haha!

Talking bout the colour, initially I thought I could go for any colour so I actually wanted to try ash blue. But when I arrived at the saloon I got to know that I was only able to choose colours which doesn't require bleaching, but that's okay too :) So I chose ash brown instead. The dye job came out pretty okay, the top is lighter than the bottom lol! I guess I hold on to it for maybe a month before I'll get it fixed :) Sadly, Jeremy told me that he didn't pass the exam :( Cheer up, there'll always be next time, I'm sure you can pass it! :)

Notice my nail art? I drew them myself! :D I got the chance to do gel nail extension + design on my nails so I did this simple and chic design! :D I'm happy with my classes so far but I haven't took any test yet. I still need to polish up a bit before taking my test! Ganbarimasu~!

Oh oh! And did you notice that my makeup is slightly different here? :D I finally tried out Gyaru makeup again after many many months! I still miss my Gyaru days but I'm too lazy to apply false eyelashes all the time. In fact, since I haven't been applying makeup with so much falsies, I thought I look weird in real :/ Do you think I still suit such makeup? Leave a comment below! :D

{Review} Etude House Ac Clinic Intense

So, for the first time ever I'm showing you my bare skin. No foundation or filter, just a little editing on the brightness of the photos. It might seems as if I have really good skin in my pictures, but I have always been battling with pimples and scars, scars especially! I'm a big fan of Etude House and they had sales previously so I personally bought the AC Clinic Intense range to try them out. I've been using them for more than a month already so I'm here to tell you what I feel about the product! :D

Excuse me that I put on some eye and lip makeup, it's the least I could do to save my vanity self, haha! But I assure you that I applied ZERO foundation!

I got the travel size ones but I find that I can use these for quite some while! :D

I usually get breakouts at that time of the month or when I'm too stressed out so I only use them around that time. But I suffer from lots of scars and these don't go away easily. Sometimes I get with pus but sometimes I get those which doesn't, it just swells up and it hurts. I hate those where I can't get the pus out cause they're usually harder to get rid off completely.

In the AC Clinic Intense Red Spot Balm set, it came with the Red Spot Balm and Acne Foam Cleanser.

There's a spatula for the Red Spot Balm so you don't need to worry about contaminating the product with dirty fingers. But make sure that the spatula is clean! The balm is formulated with Salicylic Acid and Hinoki Cypress and it claims to supplies blemish care with fast care and brightening benefits. Basically what I acknowledged from the Sales Assistant is that the product will help to control minor acne problems and helps to lighten up scars. As for me, I thought that the product does help to control minor problems but it doesn't lighten up scars as effectively as I thought it would be. But I tend to use it on days where I have to go out just to control the pimples from getting worse. The balm turns invisible after some while so it's okay to apply light makeup on your skin after you applied it.

The Acne Foam Cleanser which came with it had no descriptions in English and the sales assistant did not explain about it to me so I don't really know what it's about. I use it along with the other products of this range and I find it pretty normal to me. It does its job on cleansing but I don't find any prominent oil control like other acne cleansers. Though, it has the smell of some plant extracts(?) which might treat acne problems?

Update: So I tried using the Acne Foam Cleanser for a week and I find that for my combination skin type, it dries out my non-oily parts of my face. I guess this cleanser is meant for oily, acne prone skin therefore it dries out certain parts of my face.

Here's the AC Clinic Intense Pink Powder Spot set. In it there's Pink Powder Spot, Pink Powder Water and a pack of cotton buds which I've used up. It's really considerate for them to provide cotton buds! :D

I usually use this set for more serious pimple areas. As it leaves a mark after application so I only use it on days where I don't go out or at night only. For the Pink Powder Spot, you need to use a cotton bud and dip in perpendicularly (90°) to pick up the powder. You don't need to shake the bottle itself, just dip in and pick up the product then dab onto areas where it is needed.

Look at all the spots on my face...

The product is formulated with Salicylic Acid and Hinoki Cypress. AC Clinic delivers trouble care, Pink Powder alleviates trouble swelling on contact to minimize damage.

The other product which came in this set was the Pink Powder Water which is meant to be paired up with the Pink Powder Spot. For this one, you'll need to shake the bottle prior application. Thereafter you can apply with your fingers or with the cotton buds as well. For hygiene reasons, I would prefer using the cotton buds instead.

I must say that I love this set so so so much!!! I actually bought this set before I got the Red Spot Balm set and I was amazed by how fast it cured my pimples! It usually takes up to a week for my pimples to de-swell but this product shortens the time to about 2 to 3 days! It has a strong medicine smell but I'm fine with that. I even let my mom who has an oilier skin around her T-zone than mine on her pimple and she gave positive remarks seeing how it helped her pimple which had been troubling her for days heal the next day itself! I would totally repurchase this set and recommend to my friends!

Pimples be gone! I won't miss you~!

Of course, even with the help of acne products, sufficient sleep and drinking plenty of fluids is important to achieve clear skin! Your body will thank you too for a healthy diet so try to avoid oily or fried food! Lastly don't forget that hygiene is the utmost importance in taking care of troubled skin! :)

Whatcha Lookin' At?

Really sorry that I haven't been blogging much lately, I'm seriously hooked onto watching dramas, hahaha! The stories were so interesting and they tend to end at cliffhangers, making me watching them one after another... (^^;) So far I've watched The Moon Embracing The Sun and I'm currently watching Dream High. Kim Soo Hyun is just so cute!!! (=>w<=)

Other than dramas, I've also been watching Running Man a lot recently! :D I can't wait for the episode where 2NE1 appears! I'm so excited!

I've drafted a review post but it's not completely done yet, I guess it'll be up tomorrow? :) This Saturday I'm going back to my highschool's concert to meet my friends and classmates! We've been apart for months now and I really hope to enjoy and have a good time with them. Looking forward to this weekend! That's all for now~ :D
July 12, 2013

Hello again! Since I've officially withdrawn from college, I'm now resuming my nail art classes! To be honest, I haven't touched most of my nail art stuff for months already and my skills have pretty much rusted... I'm still quite interested in it so that's good! :D

Here's a selca~

I've been wearing wigs in most of my pictures lately because my hair looks terrible right now... It's rather dry and stays out of place all the time. And I haven't got it coloured since February so now my roots are so visible. (;_;) But I'm going to get my hair dyed two weeks later! I don't know what hair colour I'll get yet but I'm excited for a change! :D See you soon my new hair colour!

This weekend I'm planning to post a tutorial on gradient lips! :D I'm trying to come up with ideas of what tutorial I should post about! I want to have a stream of interesting posts which I would enjoy sharing about and you sweeties would enjoy reading! If you have any ideas do leave me a comment! <3

It's been a rather quiet week for me so I hadn't got much to post about so that's all for now~!

Minion Toys!

I finally got myself two of these Mcdonalds' Despicable Me 2 minions toys! These adorable characters are selling like hotcakes in Malaysia! Some places were out of stock within hours on the day they were released! For a whole month period, each week Mcdonalds are releasing a new batch of minions. I missed out on last week's minion Tim and Dave (I love Dave! He's soooo cute!) but I managed to get myself minion Tom and a purple minion (I don't remember who it was before if got changed into purple minion...)!

Say Hello to Tom and err... Purple minion?

I didn't notice Tom much in the movie but isn't he adorable? With those cute little hair stubble, haha!

Not everyone would find the purple minions as cute I think but I love how funny they are in the movie! They have another set of language in the movie and they seem overreacting towards certain situations which I find it so hilarious!

Tom grabbing my finger~! Aww~! *melts*

Purple minion doing what a purple minion does lol! Finger chomp!

Have you watched the movie yet? I find the second movie as interesting as the first one! In fact I love this one better with an addition of the character Lucy which in the end was *coughs* *spoiler* married to Gru! *coughs* It's great as a family movie as it portrays a harmonious complete family. The part where Agnes made a toast during the marriage celebration was so warm and heart-touching! The minions were of course, as funny as usual which livens up the whole movie theater! I would watch it again many many times!

Do watch the trailer below if you haven't watch the movie!

Trim and shape your eyebrows!

Who wants messy brows??? (> <) Eyebrows play an important part in shaping a person's image! Having messy, untrimmed brows are a big NO NO! So today I'll be showing you how to trim your brows and shape them in various styles! :D My cousin previously asked me on how to trim her brows and I thought why not I let my eyebrows grow out for weeks so I can post a tutorial on that? :D I'm sure most of you out there are wondering about this too~ :)

So... before you start trimming your eyebrows, you'll need to know the basic proportion for beautiful eyebrows~! The head of the brows should align with the sides of your nose. The arch of the brows should align from your nose to your iris. The end of the brows should align from your nose to the outer end of your eyes.

This is a basic guideline, of course, you can always change a little here and there to achieve eyebrows which suites you well!

By the way, the nearer the head of your brows are, the slimmer your nose will look. However, don't draw them too close to each other or it'll look unnatural! (The image of unibrows come into my mind, lols!)

Messy brows D: Note: I took this picture a few days before I took the rest of the pictures below, which is why you will notice that the lenses are of different colour.

How do I trim my brows? I always use a tweezer. I know there are many ways out there such as using a pair of mini scissors and cut of some of your eyebrows or shaving the excess off. But just like any hair on your body, the more you cut or shave, the thicker the hair will be. Why would I want that?!

Plus, using a tweezer to slowly trim your brows allows precision as you pluck out hair by hair. Remember to always look further away from the mirror once in a while so that you won't over-pluck!

It takes quite some time but I'm done with shaping my eyebrows! Time to fill 'em up!

For this tutorial, I'll be showing two types of eyebrow shapes... You've guessed it! It's Korean and Japanese eyebrows~!

We'll start off with Japanese eyebrows, shall we? :D For this tutorial, I'm going for a Harajuku style!

Japanese usually sport thinner brows compared to Koreans. It has a slight curved arch and it's usually a few shades lighter than their hair colour. Most of them bleach their brows as well! It's pretty natural so I would use eyebrow powder to fill my brows! And if you have eyebrow mascara, you can always use it too! I don't have one so I'll just skip that.

Lightly fill in your brows and try to keep them slightly curved! It's very natural so you don't need to fill it in a lot. Blend out and voila! You're done! :D

My half-failed attempt on Harajuku style... (T T) I'll try harder next time! :D

Moving on to Korean eyebrows, Korean usually have thick and straight eyebrows. But sometimes they do have eyebrows which slightly curves. However, some Korean celebrities have eyebrows which are more arched than others. It's up to whichever that complements your face shape. Koreans usually fill in their eyebrows with shades similar to their hair colour. And they usually use eyebrow pencil and powder. I'll just stick to powder, lol~

Start from the end of your brows, fill it in like a triangular shape. Sometimes the end can arch downwards a bit depending on your preference. Slowly work your way to the front, with small short strokes. As Korean eyebrows are usually thick and most of us don't have naturally thick brows like so, fill in the empty spaces but make sure you do that moderately! Crayon Shin Chan eyebrows are NO NO~! Blend out the head of the brows slightly and you're done!

It's Korean Ulzzang style so there must be some selca! <3 class="separator" data-blogger-escaped-div="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Anyways, My best friend to fill in brows is definitely an angled brush! I got mine at Etude House for around Rm12 I think. It's really good! You should get one too! :D

I hope the tutorial was easy enough to follow :) I'm really sorry that I wasn't able to provide step-by-step pictures. m(_ _)m It would've been easier if I was able to film it though... Maybe I'll do that next time (^^;) But if you have any questions do leave them in the comment section! Thanks for reading!

Sometimes being a little unhealthy is alright...

Many friends and readers have been trying to cheer me up regarding what I posted yesterday. How great can these people be? :'D I appreciate every thoughts, comments and messages they left me even though I didn't get to reply to them all. Many have reminded me about perseverance in tough situations but I'm really sorry that I've made my decision to withdraw from my current course. I've been wondering about whether what I was doing was right or wrong for weeks already and sometimes when the matter isn't getting too out of hand yet, I would just keep it to myself instead of letting my parents know. I only broke down last weekend when my mom was talking about how stressed up I look. I couldn't keep it to myself anymore, so I had to let it all out.

My college gave me a call today asking whether I'll still be attending class or not as my lecturers are concerned about me missing so many classes already. I'm really touched that they do care about me, but it's hard to tell them that I've decided to withdraw after all their efforts in guiding me throughout the past two months. My classmates have been messaging me almost everyday on my private Facebook account, honestly, I do want to tell them the truth, but I do not know whether I should or not. Yet, I sincerely thank everyone for their kindness and care. Even though it's been a short 2 months, thank you for the good times you all gave me. :) Let's keep in contact, yeah? :D

The matter is still unresolved right now in my mind. I'm spending more time doing household chores (which I almost never do) just to get the matter out of my mind. Like some sort of escape. However, I know I can't run from this and I have to put a stop, to end it, preferably well. May the almighty God above bless me and my family, would you please hold our hands and lead us through this? I don't know what else I can pray, but I know the power lies in God.

I had instant noodles for lunch today, let's have something unhealthy while dealing with stress eh?

Reliving my Vita cosplay

If you have been reading my recent tweets, you might've known that I've been feeling down about my college course lately. After studying for about 2 months, I came to realize that it's not what I want to study. The whole course just seemed plain and boring to me.

I love fashion, makeup, art and stuff which are colourful. And I find that doing paperwork and research itself is just not my thing. Heck, I wouldn't even want to sit in an office all day long when I start to work! Also, as I took up an express course which finishes within 7 months, the amount of stress I had to go through is simply too much for me to handle. I'm not an irresponsible person, I can't just ignore the existing work you see... Moreover, as the stress gradually built up, it took a toll on my health. I was sleeping for only 4 hours per day for the past 2 months. I feel fatigue each day, there was never enough of sleep. A few weeks ago I went for a medical checkup and I was told that I'm sleep deprived and my body system shows that it's older than my age! Of course I tried to ignore it, but I saw signs of myself being over-stressed and aging. I had more white hair than ever and guess what, I'm starting to get fine line. (T T)

I reached my breaking point, and I decided to withdraw from all these stress. Ignore it, escape from it as much as I can. Yet the conflict within myself is so strong I can't bear but to cry each night, but that doesn't put me to sleep. I had to let myself relax by browsing through some memorial photos or drawings then only I could sleep.

I've talked to my parents about it and I thank God that they're understanding parents. :) My parents are helping me to go through this phase of my life :) It's financially hard for us to enable me to switch to another course after paying more than 10,000 of tuition fees for my current course. I know that it's my last shot on getting on the career path I wished for so I'm taking things slowly. You know they say, once you've fell down, you get up, and you'll be stronger. :)

Sorry for the long rant, I hope you don't mind (^^;) So these few days I've been staying at home instead of going to college. And today I had some free time so I thought I could play around with my Vita cosplay~! :D

Hi, I'm Vita and I'm one of the Wolkenritter from the series Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha. They call me "Knight of the Iron Hammer" or "Crimson Iron Rider". I serve my mistress, Hayate Yagami. When I fight, I have my long time partner, Graf Eisen.

I love my bunny-ears-hat, aren't they cute?

But if you ever take it off me...

I'm going to let you taste my power!!!

Fresh Start?

Hello July! Time sure passes at the speed of light, don't you think so? If you're able to access to my blog right now, that means you probably know that my blog URL has been changed! :D Thank you so much for reading my blog! :D

I've finally changed my blog header after.... 3 years? Probably? I'm not too sure myself (^^;) I really like the original picture (which I posted on Instagram) and I thought, 'You know what, let's make this my blog header pic!'. And yeah, that's how I came up with the idea for my header. XD I feel so accomplished when I finally posted up the new header!

Oh, and if you haven't noticed, I've changed my watermark too! :D I kept the style similar to my previous watermark, just tweaking a little here and there :) I wanted the watermark to be translucent white this time so that it doesn't block my images, at the same time marking the ownership of the photo as mine. :)

Now that I've completed changing my blog layout, header, watermark and even my blog URL, I thought I should call this a fresh start? Hmmm.... It might not be as FRESH since I'm keeping my old blog posts still, but I guess it's fresh enough for me to focus more on blogging! :D I'm so happy with how I 'dressed-up' my blog that I visit it several times a day, hahaha!

Here's an act cute video to thank you for the constant support! XD

I can't stand acting cute like that lol, I had to laugh in the end, hahaha!

Finishing off the post with a weird face picture! Will blog soon! :D
