June 27, 2011

I've been really busy these few days! I'm currently helping my class to do most of the decorations for our cafe on Canteen Day this coming Thursday!!!

It's a World themed cafe! A few friends and I are in charge of the decorations! I'm not very good at interior designing, but I'll give my best! (^^)v

Also, I will try my best to take as many pictures as possible to show you~ It's going to be awesome, I think. I'm quite happy because my classmates showed a lot of enthusiasm in working together to organize a successful cafe.

And yes, that day I'll be wearing my yukata with Jessie and we'll be doing advertising around the school. (^^) Well, actually we're told by our teacher to do so... (-w-;)

And that's it for now. I need to get back to work or they'll pile up more... (; ;)

Bye bye

Side swept bangs tutorial

Konbanwa minnasan!

Today's tutorial is going to be on side swept bangs. (^^) I purposely grow out my fringe and resist the urge to cut it to show you this. Ehehe...

If your fringe is too long and you don't have the time to get it cut, what should you do? You could pin it up but some would not like to show their big forehead. Then you can choose the alternative of creating a fake side swept bangs!

First, 'sweep' you hair to one side. don't tug it too tightly, you want it to be a little bit roundish.

Pin it in place.

Next, take a section of hair then bring it to the other side. Twist it a little bit before pinning it.

You have to use a section of hair because you want to cover up and fringe that falls off and keep them in place. It's like wrapping them up. Get it? (^^;)

And you're done!

I think it might look nice on some people, but definitely not me. (●´ω`●)ゞ

It's really fast and easy, don't you think so? Hehe

Anyways, I have a question... Does any of you ave any tips to stick the top false eyelashes so that it can be seen in photos? Somehow I just can't get my Dolly Wink eyelashes to show up. Is it because they are too soft? ( > <)

That's it for now. I'm nearly done with my school work so hopefully I can blog tomorrow too! (^^)

See you!

p.s: Don't forget to catch Tokyo Kawaii TV later!

Shocking discovery!!!

Lately I've been super busy till I don't even have the time to turn on my computer and check all updates. It's always Turn on, check mail, check twitter then off. I'm feel so bad not being able to blog due to the tight schedule. (; ;)

And just as I thought I could blog something this weekend, I was assigned to do 5 posters and lots of decorations for my school's Canteen Day. (= =;) Urgh...

Anyways, back to the topic of this post, recently I saw A PAPAYA WITH ONLY ONE SEED!!!!!!!!

I have never seen such papaya before! I mean, how can you control whether there will be seed in the papaya or not? It's not like a watermelon where you can control the shape of it.

It's amazing, isn't it? (^^)

And here's a few pictures I took with my phone the other day. Sorry that it's small but it's a low quality photo that's why. ( >w<)

Also, I will be going for a trip next month! It's a countryside place so hopefully I can find some nice stuff there and also, I will take as much pictures as possible to show you! (^^)

Alrighty then, that's it for now! I'd better start finishing stuff I need to do so I can have time to blog! Hopefully... (*^^*)

Bye bye~

Recent pictures~

I'm sorry for not blogging throughout the weekend. I wanted to post on hair tutorial, but the pictures didn't turn out right so I am going to record a video instead. Are you excited to see a video? (^^)

Anyways, here are some camwhore pictures after my unsuccessful attempt on taking pictures for the tutorials...

Time to cut my fringe. (-o-)

I had to curl it so that my eyes could be seen.

Played with some photoshop actions that I downloaded recently. I love the effect!

So how did you celebrate Father's Day with your father? What gift did you gave him?

For me, we went for lunch at Kenny Rogers because my dad loves it and I crocheted a mug holder for him! (^^) I guess handmade gifts are very heartwarming. Hehe

I guess you can say the relationship between me and my dad is quite close. We do quarrel sometimes when I get too lazy but we are always on the same team when mom starts nagging. Because our personality is almost the same. Haha!

And that's it for today's short post. I'm sorry that I'm not very active in blogging recently as I don't have much time. (; ;) I'll try to find as many interesting stuff to post alright?

Well, that's it for now. See you soon!

Personal message to my computer:

Dear granny computer,

Please work faster so that I can blog faster! (> <;)

Camwhoring in Yukata

Today I tested out the eyemake I planned for Bon Odori! And I decided to camwhore a little bit. (^^) Hehe

I was just testing out the eyemake so I didn't bother much to style my hair. (^^);

I have a short forehead. I don't think I look nice with my fringe up (> <)

Here's my eyemake test out. I've applied pink on the upper lid and green on the lower lid. I wanted it to be a fun colour and also to match with my yukata. Please tell me what do you think about the eyemake! (^^)

As for the hairstyle, after I've flipped through many old issues of magazines I have, I have a few ideas now. I will show you some time later!

I'm so sorry that I haven't been much active in blogging lately as I'm really busy with school stuff. I've decided that I must revise everyday after getting so much stress from my mid term exams so I guess my schedule is mostly packed up now.

But don't worry, I will always try my best to blog. (^^) For that I'll have to speed up my actions a few times. Ehehe. I have quite some stuff lined up to post and also I'm gathering pictures for this 'mega post' I've finished typing out. \(^^)/

No matter what, I still hope to read your comments. I'm always happy to read them!

Also, if there's a problem with the comment system, do email me to tell me about it since I have a few problems regarding blogger comment posting system too, which is why I've changed my comment form to be in a pop up window if you have noticed.

Well, that's it for now, sorry for the short post. m(_ _)m

A gift from Paris and London~

Remember I told you about that I'm going to try out the oatmeal diet during the holiday? I didn't manage to finish it as I got my monthly blues halfway and I got so dizzy so mom advised me to stop that for now. So maybe next time I'll try it again... But! I lost 0.5 kg in two days just by eating oatmeal and no snacking! It's a little bit only but it's the result I got from two day... (; ;)

Anyways, today's the first day of the second semester and as usual, I got some souvenirs from my friend! Ally went Paris and London and bought me some stuff~ Thank you so much!

A beautiful necklace all the way from Paris! I love it so much!

All this while I have been wanting a necklace or bracelet with Eiffel Tower on it. I think those are very cute and stylish!

A keychain from London! It's my first souvenir from London! I'm so happy!

I've collected many souvenirs from various countries like Singapore, France, China, Japan, Korea, Switzerland and many more over these years. Yet I have never been to other countries other than Singapore when I was four. It seems like everytime I want to go overseas there's bound to be something that will block me from going... (; ;)

I've censored her face for privacy reasons.

As for Ally, she got herself A LOT of items with Union Jack. Union Jack umbrella, T-shirt, watch, bag, hat, purse, keychains etc.

So... first day of school after two weeks holidays was alright. We got back our test papers and surprisingly, I got a quite decent result! I didn't expect myself to get such good grades at all for my mid term exam. Thank God! \(^^)/ I guess all the hard work paid off too. Hehe

That's it for today. I will try to post up a tutorial soon! On hair! (^^)

Bye bye~!

A fun day with Angel

Last Thursday Angel came over to my house! I rarely have friends coming over so it was really fun!

We mostly chit chat and I showed her some interesting stuff from when I was young. And... we had a mini photoshoot! It wasn't really successful as we didn't have enough time so I guess we'll do a better one next time. (^^)

So I'm going to show you some preview pictures! I'm sorry that I always have to show you a preview before the actual thing as I can't finish photoshopping them fast enough. I haven't got all day you see... (-A-;)

Here's Angel. The next photoshoot we decided that we'll use a wig for sure. Since her hair is not long enough for many styles... (. .;) Thanks for being my 'experiment' by the way. Haha

And here's me. I'm not that good with posing in front of camera yet. I'm only good in front of the mirror. (- -) Hahaha~

The theme for this mini photoshoot was Classic Lolita but we didn't successfully bring it out... so maybe Vintage would be good? Hehe (^^);

Anyways, today's the last day of school. Why do good times always passes by so fast? (; ;) I want to be able to sleep more! (>w<) I hope there will be time for me to blog even with lots of lined up events at school because I love my blog and my readers and I really hope to be able to share stuff with you all. (^^)

Well, that's it for now.

Bye bye!

I-city - Illuminated city

I know I have not been updating for days already, so sorry! m(_ _)m

At first when my family and I were discussing about where to visit this holiday, we decided to go I-city since it looked beautiful in the commercial. But then, there was no mentioning about it later on. And surprisingly, mom decided that we'll go there on Friday two days ago. And I'm going to show you pictures of the illuminated city!

Pictures are arranged like a scrapbooking style since I only had a few pictures so I decided to make them look more interesting. (^^)

Though it looked fun, I-city was actually a little bit boring to me. It's mostly light displays there and it was quite hard to take photos at night (ok, maybe not for those dslr holders). In the Snow Walk, it was quite dim and cold so taking pictures there was another challenge. My camera lens became blur as soon as I exit the place. By the way, the pictures in the Snow Walk were taken with my phone camera as I didn't want to risk taking out my camera as it was cold and slippery in case something unwanted happens. ( > <)

So that's it for now, I will try to update more!

See you!

Just Like A Doll

I've finally finished with the editing of 'Just Like A Doll' mini photo series. There's only a few photos but I hope you enjoy viewing them!

"I once had a sweet little doll, dears

the prettiest doll in the world."

"To see a doll of yourself is very weird

and very neat at the same time."

"There's nobody else that can double me-

except for a doll."

And that's it! It's only a few but soon, there will be another bunch of photo series! I won't tell you much about it yet, you've got to see it yourself! Hehe (^^)

Do tell me what you think of the editing. I'm not very good in photoshop yet so I could only use what I know and apply them into the editing process. I love to hear your opinions and get more ideas and tips! \(^^)/

Well then,

Good Night!

My Beauty Diary - Pearl Powder Mask Review

Today I finally have the time to try on My Beauty Diary - Pearl Powder Mask that I purrchased some time ago.

I have read many good reviews on this brand and I really wanted to try it out! There are many types of mask, suitable for different skin types and for different purposes. You've got to choose the one that you think will suit you best so take your time to read the descriptions behind the box before deciding!

Pearl Powder Mask claims to whiten and tone your skin!

"Natural Pearl Powder contains many amino acids and microelements combined to penetrate the inner layers of the skin, to moisturize, whiten and restore luster. White mulberry root essence keeps the skin in a fully mosturised condition for a longer duration."

Yay for longer mosturised skin! \(^^)/

"Rich amounts of vitamin B and seaweed combine to form a specially fermented mixture of elements that actively mosturize and beautify the skin. Licorice and lemon ingredients heal and mosturise the skin."

After cleansing my face, I applied the mask for 30 minutes. After removing the mask, massage any remainings into your skin in circular motions.

I can has soft mosturised skin! (^^)

I kept my skin mosturised and oil free for hours! I must say that I really love this mask! As for the whitening, I think it did its purpose! I massaged some of the serum onto the back of one of my hand then compared the skin tone between two backs of my hands and yes! I could see the slight difference! \(^^)/

I'm so happy with the result so I guess I might buy it again next time. Hehe

Also, if you've noticed, I tried adding the block quote function into this post. What do you think? Does it make reading easier?

That's it for now,

See you~!

Yukata girl

Today I received my Yukata order from Anju-lian! Do check this post if you haven't read it yet.

What I thought about it:

The service was alright as I had to question them as to why they charged me 2700 yen for the shipping fees when it was stated that the shipping fee is included. Then they told me that they only provide free shipping within Japan. (- -);

Nevertheless, it arrived safely. (^^)

Contents of the box.

Yukata, Obi, Decorative obi, 2 soft ties, collar lace, geta, 2 hair accessories and a guide to wear a yukata.

It's fairly easy to wear a yukata actually. I got it on at my second attempt. I used these tutorials.

Part 1

Part 2

Other obi variation: http://www.somesho.com/kitsuke/10_Yukata/1010_Movie/

Me in my yukata.

Back view. I tied the aoi obi style. I love it so much! Also added the decorative obi and a yellow rose.

I didn't put on the lace collar this time as I forgotten to attach it before wearing. Hehe (^^);

What do you think of it?

Till now I'm still thinking of a suitable hairstyle to match it. I'm planning to do a up-do since it's really hot there but I have no idea what to do with my hair. I can't some hairstyles as my hair is too long... (; ;) But I'm growing it so I don't plan to cut it. Any help?

That's it for now! Any questions please ask me in the comments section.

Arigatou ne~!

Just Like A Doll [Preview]

"I once had a sweet little doll, dears,
The prettiest doll in the world."

This is just a preview of the later post where I will be posting up pictures of the mini 'Just Like A Doll' photo series.

Only a few pictures but the editing sure takes up a long long time! I want to edit them as good as I can. Hehe...

Tell me what you think so I can have more ideas, alright? (^^)

That's it for now,

Bye bye~

Ageha eyemake tutorial

Today's post will be on the Ageha eyemake I posted earlier. I was supposed to post it last week but somehow I forgot about it... (^^); So here you go~

Start with a clean eye. Put on your contact lens before make up.

I used Phloof! by M.A.C. all over my eye area. It's my recent favourite eyeshadow (^^)v

Then using Cork by M.A.C, I applied it all the way up to my crease.

Next is to use Espresso by M.A.C onto your eyelids.

For Ageha eyemake, I would prefer to draw on the eyeliner before proceeding onto the bottom eyeshadow. You'll see why...

Try to draw the bottom eyeliner further away from your bottom eye to give the illusion of bigger looking eyes.

It might look a little weird at this point when you close your eyes, but after you apply the lashes it'll look just fine.

Now, I have mentioned above that it's best to draw the eyeliner before apply bottom eyeshadow as you will need it as a guideline as to where to apply the bottom eyeshadow. I used Scene by M.A.C. but I think a darker colour would look better?

Apply lashes.

Top lash: Daiso No.11 + Dolly Wink No.4
Bottom lash: Dolly Wink No.5

For bottom lash, if you could, I think bottom lashes with more volume would look much better. Maybe something like Jun Komori's Eyemazing #201 would be nice.

Here you can see that after you apply your eyelashes, you can't see the gap anymore when you close your eyes. I'm taking the picture slightly angled down, by the way. (^^)

And that's it! The eyemake's done~

Well, the past few days I wasn't feeling quite well... I had headache due to the heat then problems with monthly blues...

I hate it so much! 8(> <)8

I felt so weak this morning when I woke up. When I was talking to my mom on the phone this morning (I was standing up), I nearly fainted if I hadn't cut her off immediately. Yeah, my mom is one of those who nags non stop...

But don't worry about me so much! (^^) I have taken Panadol so I'm feeling better now. Hehe

This holiday I've been spending my time watching drama and anime everyday. Somehow the anime and drama craze has got back to me. Ahaha... (^^);

Alrighty then, I'm going to continue watching Majisuka Gakuen~~~ Go AKB48~~~! \(>w<)/
